Pittura persiana
Pagine uscite da libri persiani, dipinte tra il 1340 e il 1740 circa. Isfandiyar davanti al suo drago, dervisci che girano in un giardino, uccelli raccolti lungo un ruscello, due amanti appoggiati l'uno all'altro su un fondo d'oro. Lo Shahnameh di Firdausi ha dato la maggior parte delle storie. Riza-yi 'Abbasi e i pittori intorno a lui lavoravano in piccolo, con colori minerali vivi e oro, e lasciavano correre un bordo di scrittura attorno all'immagine.
Come puzzle
Uno da prendere con calma. Il colore è vivo e steso piatto, così un pezzo di manto scarlatto o di cielo dorato appartiene a un punto evidente, e la cornice tracciata ti dà una linea chiara da seguire. La scrittura nei margini è la parte lenta, perché una riga somiglia molto alla successiva. Tredici delle quattordici sono più alte che larghe.
Una buona misura qui: 60–250 pezzi.
