Winter
La neige telle que les peintres l’ont vraiment rencontrée : une branche de prunier sous la neige fraîche, un bambou qui ploie sous son poids, une rivière hollandaise pleine de patineurs, des chiots dans une congère. Surtout de l’encre et de la couleur sur soie, avec quelques hivers européens parmi eux. Le froid peint depuis un endroit chaud, ce qui reste la plus douce façon de le rencontrer.

Ici, la neige est le vrai défi. Les patineurs, les branches sombres et les toits donnent des points d’ancrage fermes d’où partir, puis les grandes étendues pâles sont l’endroit où la soirée ralentit tout à fait. Les peintures à l’encre laissent beaucoup de soie nue, alors gardez un nombre de pièces doux pour celles-là.
