Fiumi e laghi

Acqua che corre e acqua che aspetta. Max Schmitt che riposa sui remi nel singolo di Eakins, la canoa di Homer nelle rapide del Saguenay, la neve sul Sumida di Hokusai, il lago George di Kensett, pallido e immobile, la Senna a Bougival di Sisley, il ponte di Rouen di Pissarro in un mattino grigio, il fiume sotto la pioggia di Kuniyoshi e Radha che attraversa un fiume in un dipinto indiano. I pittori dell’Hudson, la Francia di Barbizon e degli impressionisti, il Nord e le stampe dal Giappone.

Come puzzle

La linea dell’acqua è tua alleata. Dove l’acqua tocca la riva c’è quasi sempre un bordo netto, e le barche, i ponti e i riflessi ti danno punti da cui partire. Il tratto lento è l’acqua aperta con il cielo sopra, quasi di un solo colore nei laghi di Kensett, e gli stagni di Barbizon sono scuri e bruni. Le stampe e i fiumi impressionisti vanno più veloci. Tieni un numero di pezzi moderato.

Una buona misura qui: 50–200 pezzi.
